school was established in 2011 through community efforts to assist the students in and around Mitukuyu.
Our school has a population of 230 students, 9 teachers, and 10 support staff
The first students to be admitted were mostly those that had dropped out due to financial and social problems such as early pregnancies, single parenthood, children born out of wedlock, homes affected by adverse poverty, children from homes where one of the parents or all were either disabled, drunkards, mentally unstable etc.
Therefore, this created a pattern, which has persisted to date. Consequently, majority of parents and students who come to our school, expect assistance in one way or another to complete their schooling.
Due to financial constraints in our catchment area,, our school depends largely on government funds to run.
We have 6 TSC teachers and three teachers employed by the board of management. Unfortunately, payment of salaries is a challenge due to the financial constraints.
In spite of these challenges, our school has managed to impact positively on the lives of the students and community at large by instilling in the students a sense of discipline and purpose.
Several students have done relatively well academically. They have been able to get training at different levels in colleges, universities and polytechniques
